Objective
The volunteer receptionist will help people feel welcome, whether in person or over the phone, and help ensure timely responses to all requests.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Answer phone calls
Check voicemail and relay messages
Greet visitors at the door
Assist with office organization
Assist with other duties around the office as needed
Commitment
Thursday and/or Friday afternoons from 1pm-4pm.
Qualifications
Belief in mission and mandate of One City Peterborough
Empathic and non-judgmental
Ability to maintain clear boundaries
Good interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening skills
Excellent note taking skills
Ability to accept guidance and support from and communicate with staff, providing regular feedback
Computer skills including proficiency with Google Suite a plus, training provided
Availability and reliability to fulfill needs of role
