First Aid Training

One City is excited to partner with the Canadian Red Cross to offer First Aid training. Below you will find an outline of the courses we offer, our pricing, and upcoming dates.

Standard First Aid - Blended

This course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home and in their community.

 

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate for Standard First Aid and CPR Level C. CPR Level C includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation training on adults, children, and babies. This certification is valid for 3 years.

This course is offered in a blended format. This means that you will need to complete about 4-8 hours of online learning prior to attending the in-class portion of the course. The in-person course is a full 8-hour day.

  • The Red Cross 

  • Preparing to respond

  • The EMS system 

  • Check, Call, Care 

  • Airway emergencies 

  • Breathing and Circulation emergencies 

  • First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest 

  • Opioid poisoning and Naloxone

  • Wound care 

  • Head, neck, and spine injuries 

  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries 

  • Sudden Medical Emergencies 

  • Environmental Illness

  • Poisons 

In order to receive your certification, you must:

  • Successfully demonstrate all skills and critical steps

  • Obtain a minimum of 75% in written knowledge evaluation

  • Demonstrate 100% participation in course, including in role playing and skills practice.

Tiered Pricing

To make First Aid training as affordable as we can, while covering our costs for equipment, maintaining our facilities, and instructor time, we are offering tiered fees. If you are able to pay a higher tier than you are eligible for, you are welcome to do so. All profit made from this training is reinvested into One City programs. Specific costs depend on the length of the course. Please select the specific training to get the prices for each category.

 

Community Member Tier - this is for individuals who are paying the fee for this course on their own.

Non-Profit Organization Tier - this is for individuals whose fee is being covered by a non-profit organization.

For-Profit Organization Tier- this is for individuals whose fee is being covered by a for-profit business or company.
