De-escalation Techniques in Practice
Full or Half Day Options

Course Description
We often have an idea of what skills we want to use in an escalation, but in the moment find it difficult to know how to respond. The goal of this training is to offer theory, practice, and strategies that help us take what we know and put it into action. This training provides participants with practical skills to navigate high-stress interactions, reduce the likelihood of escalation, and build stronger relationships with the people they support.

Note: This training has been revised as of September 2025. This training now integrates key self-regulation practices to strengthen de-escalation skills. Those seeking a deeper dive into self-regulation can also attend our dedicated course (Self-Regulation in the Presence of Stress and Trauma).
