About Mackenzie

Mackenzie Clark-Smith joined the organization as the Fundraising & Communications Coordinator at One City in 2023. Over the last 6 years, she has worked in various not-for-profit organizations including PARN (Peterborough AIDS Resource Network) and the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Trent University, a postgraduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Durham College and a postgraduate certificate in Community Development from Toronto Metropolitan University.  

 

Mackenzie is currently pursuing her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation, and sits on the board of the Peterborough Area Fundraisers Network (PAFN) as their Membership and Communications lead. 

 

Mackenzie is a fierce social justice advocate who is passionate about building community and caring for those most vulnerable. She cares deeply about animal welfare, disability justice, and advocating for marginalized communities. Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys reading, crafting, attending dance class, rock collecting, and spending time with her husband and rescue cat, Boone.
