Tammy Kuehne

Tammy (she/her) began her journey with One City in 2014 as a staff of the Warming Room shelter. Since then, she has led initiatives in shelter, housing, outreach, strategic advocacy, and community development.

 

At 18, she moved from Chile to Canada, and quickly found a deep pull to housing and homelessness work. Over the last decade, she has continued to learn in many spaces and from many people - through a Masters of Social Work, from people with lived experience of homelessness, and alongside colleagues, peers, and community partners. Tammy is committed to bold, thoughtful, and creative experiments that lead us closer to systemic wellbeing.

 

What keeps her grounded in this work is the deep belief that shared liberation is the only way forward - collective joy, work, and rest sustain us. And lots of dancing, camping, and snacks.
