Municipal Election 2026

In early September, this banner started as a blank canvas.

As we prepared for the mayoral candidates conversation on social issues, we had one goal:

 

To make visible the voices, experiences and priorities of people who are often left out of the conversation, especially in decision-making spaces.

​

On October 7th, it hung facing Peterborough’s mayoral candidates, as they shared their plans for improving wellness for our community.

​

The messages make a clear request: city council must prioritize long-term wellbeing for those who are often excluded from access to housing, health, mobility, education, and compassion. Caring for the land came up multiple times.
